Travel and destination
Where there is no Mohel nearby, I come to you. Across the United States, and internationally.
No family should have to go without.
Not every community has a Mohel. Some have one who is unavailable on the day it must happen, which, with an eighth day, is not a date anyone can move. Families in that position have often spent a week making frantic phone calls.
I have travelled for this work for years. Together with my Rabbi, Rabbi Yosef Heilbrun, I have performed approximately 40 procedures across Latin America, and I serve families throughout the United States. If you are somewhere without a Mohel, call me and we will work out whether I can get to you.
Where I have served
Communities across the United States, and internationally — with particular experience across Latin America.
What I bring
Everything required, including all sterile single-use instruments. You do not need to source anything locally.
Who I work with
Your local Rav, your community, and where relevant your local physician — so that everything is correct both halachically and practically.
Languages
I speak English and Yiddish, and I understand Hebrew. In Latin America I have worked alongside local rabbanim and my Rabbi, Rabbi Yosef Heilbrun, so families there have always been able to arrange everything in their own language.
Arranging it
How a destination Bris comes together
Call as early as you can
With travel involved, timing is everything. Call during the pregnancy if you possibly can — even a provisional conversation helps enormously.
We confirm the day
Once the baby is born, we fix the eighth day precisely and I arrange travel around it. I plan to arrive with time in hand, never at the last moment.
Local coordination
I speak with your Rav or community if you would like, and we settle the venue, the honors and anything needed on the ground.
The day, and afterwards
The Bris takes place exactly as it would anywhere else, and I remain reachable for the healing period after I have travelled home.
Not sure whether I can reach you?
Ask anyway. The answer is more often yes than people expect, and it costs nothing to find out.
Let’s speak.
No obligation, and no question is too small. Call whenever suits you.
